At CPC we believe that the Gospel is always moving. In order to heighten our awareness of God’s movement in our lives, we practice Reflection, Relationship, Invitation, and Integration. One of the best places to grow in these practices together are our Small Groups.
Small Groups meet regularly to build relationships, reflect on Scripture, and integrate faith into our everyday lives. If you are looking for regular, intentional, faith-based connections at CPC we would love to have you join a small group.
We will be launching small groups on a seasonal basis this year with a launch in the fall, winter, and spring. Because building relationships from scratch can be hard, we will have the first three sessions take place at 10:00AM at CPC. Fall Launch dates: October 26, November 2 & 9.
The best small groups have 1-2 leaders who help coordinate and organize the group. The leaders do not need to teach or facilitate all of the sessions; rather, they function as a strong point of contact for the group and for CPC, and they help the group develop healthy rhythms in how they meet. We would love to have you consider leading a small group.
What to know:
- When you register for the leader training, you can indicate what type of group you would be most interested in leading (women’s, men’s, age-based, or couples). We will do our best to put together groups that have the best chance of forming natural connections.
- We will provide you with conversation starters and brunch for the three sessions at CPC.
- If your group would like to continue meeting after the three-week launch, we will give you resources to help establish a regular meeting rhythm including a starter guide for your first six gatherings.
- While most groups choose to meet in someone’s home on a weekday, you are welcome to keep meeting at CPC on Sunday mornings if you prefer.
If you are interested in leading a small group, please sign up for our Small Group Leader Training on Sunday, September 14 at noon. We will meet in Westview for lunch, connection with other new small group leaders, and some basic training for leading a group.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the Groups Team at groups@cpcedina.org.
