Join us for a special night where we will explore what it means to become a person of welcome with pastor and author Laura Murray. One of the practices at the center of being open to the Gospel's movement is invitation. Over the course of this conference we will learn more from Laura about what it means for us to be a person of welcome and how to invite others with authenticity and joy.
At this event we will hear from Laura, as well as other speakers, on these topics and more. We’ll enjoy a light dinner and intentional conversation around tables as we process what we are learning. This will be a wonderful opportunity to connect in community with other women.
The cost for this event is $20. If paying $20 prevents you from attending or inviting others, please use this discount code to register at no cost: FREE.
If you are new or attending on your own, we invite you to meet us outside Pathway Bookstore at 4:50PM. There will be hosts to greet you, and we'll sit together for the evening.

Talk Descriptions:
“Seen to See Others” | Laura Murray
Many of us do the good work of seeing others: providing for loved ones, family, co-workers, and neighbors. As we do this, we sometimes forget that we were first provided for. That we have a God who sees us: our hearts and hurts, our desires and doubts, and hopes and fears. How might we allow God to see us so that we might also continue to see and love others?
“Beyond Polite: Creating Space for True Connection” | Carrie Gleeson
Sometimes we are tempted to offer people a shallow, inauthentic version of hospitality that is friendly, polite, and well-mannered, but stops short of true welcome. Inauthentic hospitality creates a culture where we’re kind on the surface, yet hesitant to let people fully in—where we protect our space, our routines, and even ourselves. Jesus didn’t just offer politeness, He offered presence. He stepped into people’s lives, crossed social boundaries, and made space for those who felt like outsiders. Authentic hospitality is about costly, intentional love that risks inconvenience and moves toward people, not just around them.
“Interview with Melissa Schaser and Laura Murray”
Melissa and Laura will talk about what it has looked like for them to integrate welcome and invitation into their everyday lives. They will discuss the challenges they have experienced, as well as the joy they have had in extending welcome to those around them.
