The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) contains some of Jesus's most famous teachings. The discourse includes the Beatitudes, the Our Father prayer, and many more sayings that are central to Christ's message. Yet, because Jesus's words from the mountaintop are so familiar to many Christians, it can be easy to miss what they meant to their original Jewish listeners.

Join Dr. Nick Schaser (Macalester College) for an examination of the Sermon on the Mount, its relationship to the Old Testament and its continued relevance for us today.
