Grandparenting in the Digital Age: Navigating Social Media with Your Grandkids and the Power of Prayer
Presenter: Laura Mulliken

This group offers connection and encouragement on the grandparenting journey. We gather one Thursday night a month to learn and build community with other grandparents.

Our grandkids are living in an ever-changing landscape of social media, and much of it hasn't been around long enough for longitudinal studies. Let's look at what technologies are popular with our Grands, examining some of the benefits and drawbacks including social and neurosciences. We'll also consider how to build a family framework for choosing and utilizing apps across the generations.

Laura Mulliken serves as the Executive Director of Trafficking Justice, a non-profit that works to end sexual exploitation and sex trafficking in the state of Minnesota. She has served in anti-trafficking efforts for 12+ years and is a sought after speaker and gifted teacher; equipping, inspiring and mobilizing both faith and community individuals and organizations to fight exploitation and trafficking.

Laura is available for presentations that include sexual exploitation/trafficking awareness and prevention, the impact of pornography, Childhood sexual abuse prevention, digital safety, trauma informed care, online exploitation, Biblical Justice, addressing demand for sex trafficking, and understanding people caught up in exploitation.

A current passion is coming alongside families who have been affected by sexual exploitation, pornography, grooming, or trafficking of a family member.
